Top 10 French Cuisine Resturants In Montreal

1- L'Express
Google 4,6 Stars (3 K Reviews)

The story
Imagined by theater enthusiasts, for forty years now the Express has illuminated the spectacle of Montreal life from its large glass roof. On the sets, Luc Laporte. Behind the scenes, Pierre Villeneuve. Directed by Colette Brossoit, who dreamed of the Express as a public service: reliable, comforting, welcoming, no matter the time. Between the white tables, our staff has been working – sometimes for decades – to preserve the house spirit; so that the show continues for a long time to come.

The kitchen
How to summarize the cuisine at l'Express? We cannot summarize it. After all, as soon as we talk about our menu, everyone knows what we're talking about. Created by Joël Chapoulie, the menu lovingly presents the great classics of the French brasserie, punctuated with daily specials according to the seasons and arrivals. Day after day, Jean-François Vachon's brigade succeeds in reinventing these comforting and tasty dishes which mean that, when we talk about the cuisine of L'Express, well, everyone knows what we are talking about. .

The cave
Over the course of his 35 years of pampering the famous Express cellar, Mario Brossoit has acquired at least one certainty: wines are like people. If you invite one of our wines to your table, you might as well offer a meeting... This requires curiosity and listening, subtle arts in which our entire team excels. This is why L'Express does not have a sommelier: because even if there are many classic bottles among our 11,000 bottles, our Holy Grail is the right wine-customer pairing.

3- Restaurant Bonaparte
Google 4,6 Stars (1,3 K Reviews )

In 1983, Restaurant Bonaparte turned a passion for exceptional French cuisine into a timeless formula rooted in enduring quality and consistency. More than 35 years later, it’s an experience that’s as delightful to savour today as it was then.

In today’s fast-paced world, Bonaparte believes that classic French fare serves as a grounding force. It’s a call to sit down, slow down and enjoy. We like to think of it as comfort food for the discerning palate; a dash of creativity added to a tasteful approach that never goes out of style. It’s not surprising—only surprisingly satisfying.
