Calling all carnivores! If you’re looking for a good chunk of meat, this article is for you. Steak can be tricky, and the last thing you want is a bland and dry steak. But have no worries, these top 10 steakhouses will provide you with the most tender and juicy steak you can imagine. Although steakhouses are pricey, I managed to find a few that are easier on your wallet.
This is a charming steakhouse in a 200-year old historic building. As soon as you enter Gibby’s, you will feel like you stepped back into the 18th century. Its old-stone walls and decor, cozy fireplaces, and romantic lighting make it an extremely warm and inviting environment to dine in. Fortunately, the food and service are just as good as the ambiance. You start off with a bowl of pickles, warm bread, and a delicious salad (or soup), followed by your meal. They are known for their outstanding red meats and thick cuts, and although there are various options, the beef wellington is exceptionally amazing – the tender beef and flaky crust are always delicious and perfectly cooked. In addition, the service is always friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They even have complimentary valet parking! Although more on the pricier side, you will not leave here on an empty stomach, as the portions are very filling. It’s a great place to come for a special occasion, whether it is a date or a birthday celebration. A fabulous fine dining experience from start to finish that will leave you with a full and happy stomach!

This is one of the oldest restaurants in Montreal founded in 1938 by Moishe Lighter. Known as a reputable steakhouse and a fine institution in Montreal, here you will find high-quality meats in a classy, old-school atmosphere. Of course, they are known for their consistency in quality, but what makes this steakhouse unique is that their menu has a central European twist, by offering a selection of old world favourites from their Romanian roots. Matzo ball soup, steak, and potato latkes? Count me in! They have a selection of top quality charcoal broilings, from their rib eye steak to filet mignon, and their dry aged beef is 100 % natural and free of hormones and antibiotics. They also offer a complimentary breadbasket, pickles, and coleslaw with your meal. Montrealers and celebrities alike such as Céline Dion, Robert De Niro and Penélope Cruz love this steakhouse, and it is no surprise (After all, they have been around for the last 80 years)! In 2011, they won a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, and Forbes Magazine named it as one of the Top 10 Steakhouses in the world. Although it is quite pricey, you can go after 9:00PM between Wednesday and Saturday for a cheaper menu. You get an appetizer, main meal and coffee/tea for 29$. Although not specifically a steakhouse, this is the perfect place to come for a good chunk of meat. This is a rather small, yet cozy and unpretentious restaurant that will prepare you for an evening of gastronomic delight. The owner of Gus, Chef David Ferguson, serves seasonal, gourmet French dishes with a Tex-Mex twist. Here you will experience food served by people who love what they do, and with skill. The blackboard menu selection, attention to detail and execution make it truly a divine culinary experience. All their dishes are creative, delicious, and pretty much flawless. They have great appetizers to start off (you have to try the Caesar salad), and they have a mouth-watering selection of tender and juicy meats, such as their flank steak and surf and turf (A thick Nevada steak with scallops and shrimps). Even the bread and hot sauce are made in house! If you sit at the bar, you can watch David and the chefs in action, as it is an open kitchen. Make sure you leave room for the strawberry shortcake – it’s a must, you won’t regret it. To top it all off, the staff is very charming, fun, and extremely friendly. Since the restaurant is small, it’s great for an intimate date (but make sure to call for reservations). It’s not just gourmet dining, eating at Gus is an experience in of itself.
