In February of 1946, Lucien Chayer and Roger Chayer Sr. joined forces to open a plumbing company under the name of La Plomberie Bon-Air. This company, located at 2222 Rue Bélanger in Montreal, has known some extraordinary years, having witnessed the development of the Rosemont area first hand. While Lucien Chayer managed the company’s internal affairs, his business partner and brother Roger Sr. was in charge of sales. Plomberie Bon-Air performed plumbing work for numerous projects, including the construction of the Saint-Barthélemy Church, the neighborhood Credit Union and numerous other establishments. The company flourished, prompting the founders to sell the family business to Roger Chayer Jr., the son of Roger Sr., in 1973.
