The MEM – Centre des mémoires montréalaises presents Detours - Urban Experiences, an immersive exhibition that invites visitors to discover Montréal through the eyes of its citizens.
This exhibition highlights the fascinating story of a unique urban development project in Viauville, the eastern district of the former city of Maisonneuve, now Montreal, at the turn of the 20th century.
These extraordinarily lifelike works originate from the most important private collection of Roman sculptures, assembled in the 19th century by the prince and banker Alessandro Torlonia (1800-1884).
